Booking Process

To secure a reservation we require your credit card details. Full payment will be charged to your credit card 90 days prior to departure for multi day walks and 24 hours prior to departure for Day Walks. We also accept bank deposits, email for details.

If you are over 60 years, we recommend you consult your doctor to check your physical fitness. We suggest you take out comprehensive travel insurance. This normal precaution does not reflect any likelihood of accident, injury or loss during your guided walk.

For all guided trips, if we unable to fly in on the float plane, there will be an extra charge of $50NZD for the helicopter. Please note flights are weather dependant. We will therefore be unable to confirm your flight until the morning of departure. Payment will be required by credit card or cash at Te Anau for the helicopter once your flight departure has been confirmed.

If you book any of our multi-day guided walks, please inform us of where you are staying in Te Anau the night prior to your departure and if you have any specialised dietary requirements.

The operators reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any trip should weather or any other circumstance necessitate this. Once the walk has departed from Te Anau, no portion of the package payment is refundable in the event of an individual or group being unable to proceed further on the track, for whatever reason.

Travel Insurance

We recommend that all customers have an up to date travel insurance arrangement in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Cancellations – Multi Day Walks

All cancellations must be made in writing or by e-mail and confirmed by Adventure Walks.
Cancellation fees are charged on the following basis per person:
Between 60 – 22 days from date of walk departure: NZ$200 per person
Between 21-8 days from date of walk departure: 50% of full fare
Within 7 days of date of walk departure: 100% of full fare
These fees are non negotiable, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance.

Cancellations – Day Walks

All cancellations must be made email or writing.
Cancellation fees are charged on the following basis per person:
Outside 7 days prior to walk departure: No fee
Inside 7 days prior to walk departure: 100% of full fare
These fees are non negotiable, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance.

 

Changes To Bookings

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change a booking. We will do our best to meet your needs, However we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if any part of the booking is cancelled.

Changes To Terms And Conditions

Adventure Walks Ltd reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time, without notifying users of this site.

Check In

Please check-in at the departure point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
